The new and exciting calling features out there are the virtual calling cards and services. The claim is out there that the virtual calling cards are just like the prepaid claiings cards. Well, if they are the same then why are the disadvantages to using the virtual calling cards. The virtual calling card is based on the principle of you pay as you use it. Prepaid calling cards are self explanatory. You pay ahead of time for the minutes that to use. Now, I do not want to assume, but people tend to use more than what they anticipate. So if you are trying to spend only a certain amount of money for long distance, why wouldn’t you set your limit before calling? It seems to be so easy to lose tack of how many minutes you are talking and how much you are paying for those minutes. People get side tracked so easily. It is a known fact. Another key factor that that virtual calling card services do not advertise up front is that the rates are higher than prepaid calling cards. Not just a little bit but quite a bit. Why would you want to pay more money to do something one way? That does not make any sense and it is just not practical.
